Bhubaneswar emerged team champions, bagging 13 gold, 20 silver and 13 bronze medals in the 16th Odisha State Kickboxing Championship, which concluded at Pumas International Sports Complex here today.
Keonjhar finished runners-up, securing 11 gold, 7 silver and 9 bronze medals. Around 300 kickboxers from 18 districts participated in the two-day championship, which was hosted by All Odisha Kickboxing Association (AOKA).
Keonjhar boy Sachin Panwar and Bhubaneswar girl Rinki Routray won prizes as the best fighters. Nalco CMD, BL Bagra gave away the trophy and prizes at the closing function. Indian Association of Kickboxing Organisations president SS Harichandan, AOKA president Sibananda Ray and secretary Pradyumna Behera were present on the occasion.
